GRAEME ISAAC

Graeme Isaac has worked as a producer for over 35 years making both dramas and documentaries dealing with cross cultural issues, and his films have screened in international festivals world-wide. His credits include the Indigenous musical and Australian box office hit Bran Nue Dae which premiered at Toronto, the iconic Aboriginal R&R road movie Wrong Side Of the Road which premiered in Berlin, and the feature documentary Dhakiyarr VS The King which won the Reuben Mamoulian Prize at the Sydney Film Festival and screened in competition at Sundance. He has also consulted on a number of drama and documentary productions in Indonesia, 3 of which (Tjoet Nja’ Dhien, Daun Di Atas Bantal & Serambi) premiered at Cannes Un Certain Regard.

He worked as a senior script consultant in the Script Office of the (then) Australian Film Commission, was on the board of the Australian Documentary Conference, and in the mid 90’s was the supervising producer for the landmark Indigenous short drama initiative by the national screen agency and the public broadcasters to fast track Indigenous directors into drama. From 2006 to 2010 he was an international selector and session moderator for the INPUT Conference, the premier international conference for Public Broadcasters and program makers. He was co-director of the international INPUT event in Sydney in 2012, and continues to server as INPUT Australian co-national coordinator
